Bio

Laura Trunkey’s short fiction collection Double Dutch was published by House of Anansi in 2016. Previous stories have appeared in journals and magazines across Canada and in the anthology Darwin’s Bastards: Astounding Tales from Tomorrow (D&M, 2010). She is also the author of the children’s novel, The Incredibly Ordinary Danny Chandelier (Annick Press, 2008). Laura received her MFA in Creative Writing through UBC’s Optional Residency program, and her Bachelor of Social Work degree another lifetime ago at UVic. She lives in Victoria with her husband and son, where she is the Festival Producer of the Victoria Festival of Authors.
